  • Where is Punchestown?


    Our post code is W91 VCX4.

    Punchestown is situated just outside the town of Naas, Co. Kildare.  

    We are under an hour from Dublin city centre and airport.

     

  • How do I buy tickets?


    For the Punchestown Festival there are a variety of tickets on offer.

    General Tickets: 

    In advance: We do pre-festival deals up to the Sunday night before the event. The earlier you buy the more you save!  Book –  here 

    On the Day: Tickets can be booked online or at a turnstile with card or cash however, we always recommend pre-purchasing tickets to avoid queues.

    Flexi Ticket – Not sure what day? Try the €55 Flexi ticket which can be used any one day of your choice at the festival.

    Tickets are non-refundable like any event.

    Students/Seniors/Teens/Families: 

    These tickets can only be purchased on the day at the designated turnstiles so we can make sure you are entitled to the discount.

    The Festival Friday 1 May teen scene (14 – 17 years inclusive) ticket is €30 on arrival by contactless please. The student ticket is €35.

    The €50 Family Ticket is available on Saturday 2nd May.

  • Do you offer refunds?


    Like any event, concert or match, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds for non-attendance.

  • Where To Stay?


    From hotel rooms to all- inclusive transfers and accommodation.

    Always check with the hotel or provider directly as the search platforms may not have live updates. Often rooms are blocked off for peak times but cancellation lists are in action. It’s good to talk directly to the people who can help you!

  • What time should I arrive?


    Gates typically open 90mins before the first race on all season race days aside from the Festival where they open two hours before the first.

    Festival gates at 12 noon each day. First race at 2.30 and last race at 6.35pm except for festival Friday which is an hour later for both.

    Music and bars stay going for around 2 hours after the last.

  • Are there buses for the Festival?

  • What bars are onsite?


    The Festival bar scene is buzzing! From the traditional venues throughput the stands to purpose built pavilions, pop-ups, gardens and zones there is a huge selection with great music and nearby food options. check out the Festival Info Page here

    The Main Grandstand is host to the Archive, Loft & Sports Bar. We also have the Members Bar for any Punchestown Members in attendance each day.

  • Are there food facilities?

    We have public eating facilities at each race day in our Hay Café and Feedroom self-service restaurant.

  • Is there a cloakroom?


    Yes of course – The Festival cloakroom is located on the ground floor of the Panoramic Stand beside the horse walk out to the track.

    On non-Festival race days there is no cloakroom in operation.

  • Is there anywhere to store my luggage during racing?

  • Cashback & Contactless?


    Contactless available through but always bring cash with you to avoid ATM queues and any tech issues.

    All bars will accept contactless payment however we do recommend that you bring cash with you on the day.

    Cashback is available from the main entrance building on each race day up until the 5th race. 

  • Photography & Filming Data Guidelines


    Please be advised that filming and photography will take place throughout the venue and event. By entering Punchestown you accept that your image, likeness or voice may be used, without compensation, for promotional use in all media formats and that you release Blackhall Racing t/a Punchestown Racecourse from liability whatsoever of any nature.

    Notices are in place at all entry points, in the racecard, on the big screen and CCTV info service, included in the terms and conditions of ticket purchase and terms of admission to the racecourse.

    From Data Protection Guidelines:

    Data controllers may seek to rely on the legal basis of “legitimate interests”, that is that they have identified a legitimate interest they wish to pursue, in this case taking promotional photographs and demonstrate that the intended processing of the data subject’s personal data is necessary to achieve their legitimate interest of publishing the photo to show the success of their event.

    In practical terms, at large events it is advisable to have written notices in place advising attendees of the intention to take photos, the purpose of taking the photo and the intended use of the image.

     

     

  • Is there Wi-Fi at the racecourse?


    Yes, WiFi is available throughout the racecourse.

  • Wheelchair & Limited Mobility Access?


    Following consultation and customer feedback Punchestown are happy to issue complimentary access to one carer per person. We are a wheelchair friendly venue and we offer a limited mobility car park area for those vehicles with the appropriate vehicle badges.

     

    There are public cafes, restaurants and bars on ground level and all buildings have lifts to upper floors for restaurant and hospitality venues. Wheelchair toilets are available in all buildings and we have wheelchair viewing platforms at the parade ring and also on the main grandstand.

  • What To Wear?


    No formal dress code at the Punchestown Festival, but it’s a major social event so it’s the perfect excuse to dress up and make an effort. Get suited and booted and celebrate with us in STYLE!

  • How long do the races go on for?


    A typical race day takes place across 3.5/4hrs of live racing.

    Usually there are 7-8 races across the card with approximately a half hour between each race

  • What qualifies as a senior or student when purchasing a ticket?


    Anyone from the age of 65+ qualifies to purchase a Senior admission ticket.
