Un De Sceaux 4/7 to land BoyleSports Champion Chase
Fox Norton 5/1 to follow up Aintree Melling Chase win
The latest entries for the BoyleSports Champion Chase at Punchestown have been released and Ryanair winner Un De Sceaux currently heads the betting at 4/7.
It’s then 5/1 about Saturday’s Melling Chase winner Fox Norton with the Tom George trained God’s Own, who won the race last year, priced at 6/1 to win back-to-back races.
Un De Sceaux’s stablemate Vroum Vroum Mag is next in the betting at 12/1 alongside Top Gamble with the Jessica Harrington trained Rock The World priced at 14/1. It’s then 16/1 about Sub Lieutenant; the Kerry Lee trained Kylemore Abbey and Sir Valentino.
Ballycasey, who was last seen winning the Grade 2 Normans Grove Steeplechase at Fairyhouse, is priced at 20/1.
Liam Glynn, BoyleSports spokesperson said “The BoyleSports Champion Chase will certainly kick-start the 2017 Punchestown Festival if Ryanair Chase winner Un De Sceaux, who at present heads the betting at 4/7, turns up.”
He added “Fox Norton was very impressive when landing the Melling Chase at Aintree and if he was to take his chance as well as last year’s winner God’s Own, they would certainly set up a battle for Un De Sceaux on his home soil.”
