One of Ireland’s leading independent firms of property advisors GVA Donal O Buachalla were today announced as race sponsors at the 2017 Punchestown Festival, Tuesday 25th to Saturday 29th April.

The €15,000 GVA Donal O Buachalla INH Flat race will round up the action on Ladies Day, Friday 28th April which is one of the largest attended race days on the Irish jump racing calendar. Last year’s running of the two mile two furlong race produced a thrilling finish that went to the British raider No Comment trained by Philip Hobbs, owned by J.P. McManus and ridden by Jamie Codd. No Comment has since produced three further wins and a recent second place at the Aintree festival.

The company with offices in Dublin and Belfast have a long association with horse racing and Punchestown with the Directors having owned a number of successful racehorses, most notably GVA Ireland, a three-time winner at Punchestown.

Looking forward to the inaugural running of their race, Con Cronin said “We have a long association with racing and the horse racing industry so when the opportunity arose to get involved on a commercial level it made immediate sense. The festival provides an ideal platform to build awareness of our business and we very much look forward to presenting the trophy to the winner of the GVA Donal O Buachalla INH Flat race on 28th April”.

Laura Magee, Punchestown Sales & Sponsorship team commented on the announcement by saying ”This is an ideal example of where a valued and established client can optimise their presence at one of Ireland’s largest sporting and social events. GVA Donal O Buachalla have been great supporters of Punchestown over the years so to strengthen that relationship on a commercial level makes sense. There will be an estimated 120,000 people in attendance and a very large television audience tuning in so the exposure for a business is huge”.
