Punchestown is a venue which can host many different styles of events. However, situated in the home of Irish National Hunt racing, where better to look to host your next equestrian event? The equestrian facilities at Punchestown include the following;
All Weather Arenas
Arena 1 - 70m x 80m
Arena 2 - 70m x 50m
These two all weather arenas were installed in 2002 by Equestrian Surfaces and includes is a mix of sand, synthetic fibre material combined with a waxed binder. The arenas have been home to National Grand Prix Show Jumping and played host to the show jumping discipline of the 2003 European Eventing Championships.
The arenas are available for hire for shows, private training and schooling sessions.
The main yard houses 127 permanent stables, in addition to washing bays, canteen, and shower facilities.
The H Block is an American style barn containing 38 stables
Hunter Trails Course
Punchestown also features a Hunter Trials Course which includes up to 26 fences and the open course runs over a approximately 2 miles. In keeping with the Home of Irish National Hunt Racing the course includes a mix of water jumps, banks and mini 3 day event fences. There are plans in place to develop this course and further details of its completion date will be updated shortly.
