 Super Seven For Sky Bet Moscow Flyer Thriller at Punchestown 


Getabird will lead the Willie Mullins bid for a seventh win in ten runnings of the Sky Bet Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at Punchestown tomorrow, Saturday 13th January.


A total of seven runners have been declared for the Grade 2 contest that is considered a key indicator for novice hurdle championships at the major spring festivals. Mullins, who has tasted success in the two mile feature with the likes of Mikael D’Haguenet (2009), Vautour (2014) and Douvan (2015)has also declared Carter McKay and Makitorix for the 2018 renewal.


Henry de Bromhead sends the rapidly improving High School Days in the colours of Gigginstown House Stud who are also represented by Hardline and Mengli Khan from the Gordon Elliott camp. Top Othe Ra for Tom Mullins is the seventh intended runner.


The first running of the Grade 3 Total Event Rental Novice Chase at Punchestown has also attracted seven entries with Galway based trainer Pat Kelly sending Mall Dini to take on the Mullins and Elliott powerhouses. Invitation Only, impressive at Navan recently, will be joined by stable mates Arbre De Vie and Koshari from the Mullins base in county Carlow. Meanwhile, Gordon Elliott sends Dounikos, The Storyteller and Mossback in a bid to secure the valuable €44,500 prize fund.


The first of seven races at Punchestown goes to post at 12.25 kicking off with the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Steeplechase with the prestigious Connolly’s RED MILLS Amateur National going to post at 1.35. Admission on the day is €15 or €10 for seniors and students. All children under 14 years race for Free.
